With the weather warming up and we gain access to more areas, this month’s meeting will be on sluicing, types of sluices and how to maximize your sluice’s ability to catch gold. June Meeting
Do you get lost easy and find yourself having to drag a stick in the dirt to find your way back to your vehicle? If so, you have to come to this month’s meeting on Land Navigation/Maps and Compasses! We will be giving away our 6 month prize this meeting, a mini high banker and combined with the class you will be able to make it back to your vehicle to use it a second time!
July Meeting
The weather is hot and dry, perfect time to get out and do some dry washing. Join us this month as we talk about the intricate method of dry washing and how to maximize your gold recovery. If we get enough members to show this month, our board of directors will show the lost art of how to dry wash indoors.
August Meeting
How many times have we all found that one claim that you can’t take a step without kicking another piece of gold? This month we will be teaching how to research and file claims on PLSS. We will also be giving away our 3-month raffle prize, a 1-year AMRA membership and a signed photo of our club president with a 30oz gold nugget he found along with the grid coordinates, at night in a dark unlit room!

September Meeting
“It is raining gold!!” That is the common phrase people say when they are friends with Shannon, the president of AMRA. Come listen to our guest speaker Shannon Poe speak on AMRA and their efforts to help out the small-time miner as well as show us what they have been finding. Shannon will also be talking about how miners can’t make a full time living just off their rugged good looks.

October Meeting
Mining can suck, and so can you if you come to this month’s meeting and take notes on our class on dredging. We will be going over the technique of dredging so that you can gain the knowledge you will need to be a successful dredger.
November Meeting
In the desert everything looks like gold! Come to this month’s meeting with our geologist guest speaker as he teaches us methods of finding gold and how to tell if it is gold, a Todd rock or leaverite specimen! We will also be raffling off our 3 month prize this meeting, a Gold Rush Nugget Bucket and a copy of our board of directors hit single, “Sluicing in the Hood”.
December Meeting
Merry Christmas!!! Will you be getting gold or coal in your stocking from Santa this year? Only one way to tell!! Come to this months meeting and learn about how to clean up that concentrate! We will also be raffling off our 6 month prize this month, a Gold Hog mini sluice and video of our board of directors showing us how to get mercury off of gold using duct tape and 550 cord!

This month’s meeting we will be hosting a special guest speaker, Juan Ibarra from the hit TV series Gold Rush. Come join us for this exciting meeting and results from our January outing to Rye Patch! We will be drawing our 3-month raffle prize this month, a 1-year AMRA membership along with a one-of-a-kind autographed photo of our claim’s director digging!

January Meeting
Come join us this month to ring in the New Year with a class on panning, the different types of pans and their effectiveness. Learn how you can increase your speed and better your chances at finding gold.
Firearm safety
This meeting will be the drawing for our 3 month and 6 month prizes. We will also be giving a short refresher firearms safety class and our very own board of directors singing Christmas carols during the break.
Outing To Chunky Monkey (Metal Detecting)
Meet at the Flying J / McDonalds in Winnemucca @ 0800. We will be departing shortly there after. Bring food and Water. This is an all day trip to the claim.
November Meeting
Novembers meeting will focus on detecting. We will be covering the different types of detectors, the differences between them, the pros and cons and which work best based on what you are looking for.
October Meeting
Come join us for our October meeting with our special guest speaker from AMRA. He will be talking about mining law and geology with gold specimen examples. Notice that this meeting will be on Wednesday, not our normal Tuesday meeting day.
July Outing
Please come join us for a fun filled day of dry washing. Come practice what you learn with us at the July meeting. Meet at the Silverado Casino parking lot in Fernley NV, near the gas station at 0900 AM. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, gloves, a lunch and prepare to get dusty.
